RISD names Chayden Feist as new principal

The Rochelle ISD community is excited to share that Mr. Chayden Feist has been named as our new principal for the 2023-2024 school year. Mr. Feist brings to our campus a wealth of experience and knowledge. He has served as the principal of Mullin ISD for the last six years. Before serving as an administrator, Mr. Feist served as a teacher and coach in Stephenville ISD, Forney ISD, and Llano ISD. He and his wife, Addison, have one young daughter, Mavis.

“Our hiring committee sifted through a number of applicants and had multiple great interviews with some very worthy candidates, shared RISD Superintendent Matt Fields. The committee was very impressed by Mr. Feist and his accomplishments.”

Mr. Feist officially begins in early July but will be on campus multiple days in June as he works to transition to his new role. Mr. Feist shared, “I couldn't be more excited to kick off this 2023-2024 school year as a Rochelle Hornet. Working in a school district that has achieved what Rochelle has done academically is a dream come true, and I knew the moment I walked out of the interview that Rochelle was where I wanted to be—the energy, passion and excitement are undeniable."
