Guadalupe Balboa “Wally” Zamora, Sr., age 86, of Brady, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2021, in Brady. He was born June 12, 1935, in Yorktown, to Eduardo Mungia Zamora and Angelita (Balboa) Zamora. Wally was a hard working man. He worked for Roddie Wool for over 25 years, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching the Texas Rangers baseball games, savoring a cup of coffee and playing his scratch off lottery tickets. He has lived in Brady since 1964.
Funeral services for Guadalupe Balboa “Wally” Zamora were held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady with Reverend Devin Taylor officiating. Interment followed at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady. The family received friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels.

Guadalupe Balboa “Wally” Zamora is survived by his sons, John Anthony Zamora and wife, Isabel, of Brady, Joe Daniel Gobea and wife, Cindy, of Brady and Guadalupe “Lupe” Zamora, Jr. of Brady; daughter, Cynthia Ann Zamora McVay and husband, Jeremy, of Brady; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
Wally was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
