FEMA Disaster Relief Center Opens in Brady for Flood Victims

August 05, 2025

McCulloch County residents impacted by the devastating July floods are encouraged to visit a newly established Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Disaster Outreach Center in Brady to apply for federal assistance.
The center will operate out of the Brady Municipal Court building, 209 S. Elm Street, beginning Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 11 a.m. and will remain open through Sunday, August 10. Operating hours are: Wednesday: 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.Thursday–Sunday: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
FEMA representatives will be on-site to register residents for federal disaster aid. This process is separate from previous iSTAT registrations through the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM), and residents are urged to apply even if they have already submitted an iSTAT report.
“This is the federal level of assistance, which is handled separately,” said Brady City Manager James Stewart. “Any city or county resident should come out and apply—even if they’ve already filed through iSTAT.”
Applicants should bring proof of residency and documentation of flood damage to help expedite the registration process.
Residents unable to attend in person may also apply online at www.disasterassistance.gov or by phone at 1-800-621-3362.
